Why Real Estate Agents Fail?
Achieving success as a real estate agent looks relatively simple to the outsider. Nevertheless, in reality it takes a lot of perseverance, hard work and commitment. While personal success depends upon the skills and working styles of individual real estate agents, there are a number of long-standing practices that are considered the foundation of a successful career as a real estate agent. Many agents who start out fresh are either not aware of these best practices within the industry or they choose not to follow it; which makes of it, one of the most common mistakes made by fresh real estate agents that spell doom for their career.
Here are some of the common mistakes:
Depending on your circle of family and friends to get business:
Many fresh real estate agents believe that their large circle of family and friends can sustain their career. But, it is important to realize that a very small percent of one’s circle actually engage in real estate transactions every year. Depending on them for business could limit your career drastically.
Depending on your broker for business:
Not only does a broker charge a very hefty fee for the leads he passes on to his agents, he is also likely to choose an experienced agent who will surely close the deal rather than a fresh agent who may end up losing the business.
Not Farming for Business:
One’s success in the real estate business depends upon the effort one is willing to put in. If you do not make your business grow yourself, it will fail.
